George Abraham serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Score Foundation, bringing over four decades of diverse professional experience to the organization. He holds a post-graduate degree in Operations Research and graduated in Mathematics from the prestigious St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University.
George’s career began in advertising in 1981, where he worked with two leading advertising agencies until 1989. His transition to disability advocacy marked a pivotal moment in his professional journey. In 1990, he launched national cricket programmes for the blind, revolutionizing sports accessibility in India. His vision extended globally when he established the World Blind Cricket Council in 1996, creating international opportunities for visually impaired athletes.
As an innovator in disability empowerment, George launched a mobile training program in personality development in 1997 and co-authored a book on Inclusive Education in 2004. His most significant contribution came in 2002 when he founded Score Foundation, followed by the launch of Project Eyeway in 2003 – a comprehensive knowledge resource platform that has transformed countless lives through the power of information.
George’s exceptional work has earned him numerous accolades, including the Sanskriti Award, the Rotary Vocational Award, and The Limca Book of Record’s “People of the Year” Award. He was honored as an Ashoka Fellow in 2001 and had the privilege of running with the Olympic Torch at Atlanta in 1996.
