George Abraham

The Visionary Behind the Movement

Born in 1958 and losing his sight to meningitis at just ten months old, George Abraham's journey has been defined by a relentless pursuit of mainstream excellence. Educated at St. Stephen's College in Mathematics and Masters in Operations Research, George spent the first decade of his career in the fast-paced world of advertising with ASP & OBM.

A sharp-memoried athlete who ran cross-country and a trained violinist, his life took a pivotal turn in 1988. Witnessing the stark contrast between his own high-quality education and the poor resources available in blind schools, he realized his true calling.

What began as a pioneering project to institutionalize Blind Cricket—leading to the first World Cup in 1998—evolved into a deeper systemic mission. He realized that blindness was not the problem; the problem was the mindset of society.

In 2002, this insight birthed Score Foundation. Under his leadership, initiatives like the Eyeway National Helpdesk and the TV series 'Nazar Ya Nazariya' have transformed the landscape of inclusion in India.
