July 27, 2023: Panelist at National Human Rights Commission

George Abraham was invited as a panelist to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) for a panel discussion on financial inclusion, organized under the umbrella of the G20, specifically within the C20 platform. The core focus of this discussion was on disability, as part of the consultative advisory body working on disability equity and justice. Notably, the panel included members from the disability core group.

During the discussion, one of the NHRC one of the panel members mentioned their intention to forward the key points of the conversation to both the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the finance ministry. This signifies a crucial step towards advocating for the integration of disability-inclusive perspectives into financial policies and practices.
