Driving Financial Inclusion

To promote inclusion in financial services, George Abraham filed a petition in the Delhi High Court so that all facilities are made accessible to blind and visually impaired people. In response, the Delhi High Court constituted a high-powered committee under the chairmanship of IIT Delhi Professor, M. Balakrishnan. The idea behind the committee was to ensure that all stakeholders come together and understand the problem and the seriousness of it. Based on the discussions, a report is to be submitted to the Delhi High Court which would then give a clear order to the service providers on the directions to move forward. In this past year, George participated in four different high-powered committee meetings at IIT Delhi.
